Born in Chico, Lawrence A. Puritz has been practicing law in Northern California since 1978. During his 40 years in practice, Mr. Puritz has helped thousands of clients with their personal injury and estate planning needs. Before attending law school, Mr. Puritz completed his undergraduate studies at California State University, Chico. Having decided to pursue a law degree after completing his undergraduate studies, Mr. Puritz attended Cal Western School of Law. In 1978, Mr. Puritz completed law school and was awarded a Juris Doctorate of Law. Shortly thereafter, he passed the State Bar Exam and became a licensed attorney in the state of California. Following his admission to the bar, Mr. Puritz joined an established law firm in Chico, CA. At the time the firm was a partnership and Mr. Puritz was brought on as an associate attorney. He excelled in insurance defense, estate planning, and a variety of other roles. As a result of his efficiency, in 1982 Larry was offered partnership at the firm which he humbly accepted. During his 20 year tenure with Matthews, Fuqua & Puritz, Mr. Puritz had the opportunity to represent a variety of clients. In 1996, he founded the Law Offices of Lawrence A. Puritz. At the time, the firm’s main focus was estate planning law, namely wills and trusts, and later personal injury. As his practice evolved, the Law Offices of Lawrence A. Puritz has grown into one of the north state’s leading personal injury and estate planning law firms.
